While the space retains some of the building's original art deco touches, it's benefited greatly from the undeniably modern reinvention. With a retro menu to go with the decor, this sharp fresh venue will brighten your mood day or night. The food has strong gastropub pedigree in a kitchen headed up by Stephen Drake. Drinks feature the Little Creatures range on tap along with other local and boutique beers. Wines are kept local and a few nostalgic cocktails make an appearance. The sister cafe next door, Little Rose, is open for breakfast and lunch, with Syndicate Coffee served alongside jaffles, baked eggs and milkshakes.Need to get a group together for drinks, fun and frolics? We are here for all occasions. Whether it's with friends, family, or work colleagues, we have you covered for all occasions. Welcome to The Yarra Hotel Abbotsford. Depending how you look at it, we are either one year or 160 years old. We took over the joint in September 2012 and spent six months trying to find the old hotel that was underneath there somewhere… and when we finally did, weren’t we ecstatic! It’s a ripper! The beer garden can be seen from the moon and the side bar/dining area (The J.P. Saunders Room) is an absolute haven when intimacy is what you require.Food wise; we’ve got the classics covered. The kitchen is open until 9.30pm most nights and open for lunch Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Yarra is perfect for a party and we’re here to help you with your special celebration. The menu is a fine thing indeed and can be tailored to suit your budget and group size. Just ask our friendly staff at the bar or shoot us an email. There’s always bound to be some fine live original music coming up. We tend to have something playing at least four – if not five or six – nights a week from 8.30pm Monday – Saturday and 4pm on Sundays. We’ve had some cracking shows in our first 2 years of operation and there’s some pearlers coming up.

Kelly’s Motor Club Hotel is a 4th generation hotel dating back to the early 1900s. Kelly’s has long been an integral part of Cranbourne’s history alongside other fundamental industries that have formed a major part of Cranbourne’s historical identity, including dairy farming, market gardening & horse, trotting & greyhound racing (Cranbourne holds Australia’s only tri-code meeting). In 1917, Arthur T Kelly purchased the Mornington Hotel, which was located on the present site that is now Kelly’s Hotel. The former hotel was aptly named for reasons it was in the parish of Mornington. The new hotel was called Kelly’s Motor Club Hotel. Why that name ? Last century you had to be considered a “bona fide traveller” to get a beer on a Sunday. As you had to travel a certain distance from Melbourne to qualify, motor vehicle owners came from far and wide to meet at Kelly’s. Once here, for entertainment, they made a local driving circuit starting and finishing at the hotel !!After serving with the 37th squadron of the R.A.A.F, Flight Lieutenant Thomas Arthur Kelly (Arthurs son), returned to take over as publican & together with his wife Betty, managed the hotel for 30 years.Tom & Betty had two children, Margaret & Arthur, and alongside Margaret’s husband, Alan Stocks & Arthur’s wife Carol, successfully transformed Kelly’s into the hotel it is today. Together they observed the social changes of the hotel industry including the end of 6 o’clock closing, responsible serving of alcohol, gaming & anti smoking laws. The tradition continues today into the 4th generation of the family, with Kelly’s sitting at the centre of a fast growing, vibrant and diverse community
